AGRA: A 25-year-old Chinese national on Monday lodged an FIR alleging rape at Agra’s tourism police station. In her complaint, the resident of Guizhou province said she was befriended by a group of local youths in Khajuraho who offered her tea laced with sedatives on Friday. She said she had no memory of what happened to her after that and suspected that she might have been raped. Her medical examination was underway at the time of going to press.

On December 31, she said she took a train to Agra where she fortunately met two Chinese nationals and asked them to help her file an FIR.

Speaking to TOI, tourism police circle officer Mohammad Mohsin Khan said, “The survivor is an undergraduate and was on a solo trip in India. We have lodged a zero FIR and will send her complaint to Khajuraho police for further investigation.”

“The woman claimed she has no idea about what happened to her after she became unconscious. Her medical examination is underway,” the CO said.

A case under IPC’s sections 376 (rape) and 328 (causing hurt by means of poison) has been registered against unidentified men.

Let’s have fun! (??)
